El 2025 comenzó con una noticia que impacta a millones de colombianos: los precios de la gasolina y el diésel subieron desde el primero de enero.
Esta medida, confirmada por los Ministerios de Hacienda y Energía, refleja una alza tanto en el precio de la gasolina como en el ACPM (diésel), una tendencia que se repite cada año debido a diversas variables como el ajuste en la estructura de precios y la indexación de ciertos componentes.
El Impacto del incremento en los precios
La gasolina sufrió un aumento de 91 pesos por galón, lo que hace que el precio promedio a nivel nacional llegue a 16.085,5 pesos. Este ajuste refleja, en parte, los efectos de la mezcla de biodiesel que pasó de un 8% a un 10%, luego de la disminución transitoria en el último trimestre de 2024 debido a problemas de oferta.
Por su parte, el precio del ACPM experimentó un incremento más notorio, subiendo 169 pesos por galón. Este aumento no solo impacta a los conductores particulares, sino también a los transportadores, quienes ven en este ajuste un mayor costo operativo, lo que podría desencadenar protestas y paros en el sector camionero.
¿Por qué se produce este aumento?
El ajuste de precios es el resultado de la aplicación de la indexación anual que contempla varios componentes, como las tarifas de transporte de poliductos y los biocombustibles. Los Ministerios de Hacienda y Energía explicaron que estos cambios son parte de una serie de medidas técnicas que afectan la estructura de costos del combustible. Así, el aumento de la mezcla de biodiesel es uno de los factores clave que determinan el ajuste en el precio del ACPM.
Además, las tarifas de transporte de poliductos también influyen en el precio final del combustible. Este tipo de transporte es vital para llevar el combustible desde los centros de producción hasta las estaciones de servicio en las principales ciudades del país. Por lo tanto, cualquier variación en estas tarifas afecta directamente el costo que los consumidores deben pagar por la gasolina y el diésel.
Precios por ciudades: ¿Cómo quedan los costos del combustible?
Aunque el aumento es generalizado, los precios del combustible varían dependiendo de la ciudad. El Gobierno Nacional ha publicado una tabla con los nuevos precios de la gasolina y el ACPM por las principales ciudades de Colombia. Esto se debe a que cada ciudad tiene costos de transporte y distribución diferentes, lo que puede hacer que los precios fluctúen entre un lugar y otro.
Por ejemplo, en ciudades como Bogotá, Medellín y Cali, los precios de la gasolina superan los 16.000 pesos por galón, mientras que en zonas más alejadas o con menor infraestructura, como algunas regiones del Amazonas o el Caribe, el costo del combustible puede ser aún mayor debido a los costos de transporte.
La reacción del sector transportador
Una de las consecuencias inmediatas del alza en los precios de los combustibles podría ser el aumento de las tensiones en el sector del transporte.
En el pasado, estos ajustes en el precio de la gasolina y el ACPM han sido la causa de paros y protestas por parte de los camioneros. Los transportadores, que ya venían enfrentando una subida de 400 pesos en diciembre, podrían ver en este nuevo aumento un golpe a su economía, por lo que algunos ya han lanzado advertencias de posibles bloqueos y paros si el gobierno no toma medidas para mitigar el impacto.
Este tipo de reacciones no son nuevas, ya que el aumento en los precios de los combustibles suele generar un malestar generalizado en los conductores, tanto particulares como del transporte público y de carga.
